Kate Gudinski Sophie Panton - Talking In Common

It’s so nice to meet you.

Hi there, we’re Kate and Sophie.

We’ve been friends for over 20 years and we’re so excited to invite you to be a part of our all inclusive community.

We have always known we would create something special together and it took our most recent bonding experience, motherhood to give us the drive and inspiration to create ‘Talking In Common’, our new podcast series.

We will be the facilitators of conversation around a diverse range of lifestyle topics anchored by parenthood and explored far and wide. We have created a platform for a unique range of guests from people in the public eye to near and dear friends, to share their knowledge, expertise and just general juicy banter.

This is your podcast of all things lifestyle with a heartbeat of human diversity and an all inclusive community ethos. We explore and discuss life as we know it through relationships, motherhood, kids, wellbeing and culture. This is not a ‘how to’ but more of an insight into the lives of ourselves and others and how we all manage to get by.

Kate Gudinski - Talking In Common

Kate Gudinski

Prior to beginning my motherhood journey I spent my late teens and majority of my twenties focusing on my career in music. I travelled the world writing music for my own two albums, as well as writing and recording songs for the kids TV show ‘H20 just add water’. While promoting my albums around Australia, I also toured with artists such as Jesse McCartney, The Backstreet Boys, Cyndi Lauper and Jennifer Lopez. I then spent the next few years working with Mushroom Pictures and Mushroom Vision as Creative Development manager where my love film and music documentaries became a new focus, alongside with TV presenting – most recently interviewing artists on Sounds Better Together concert broadcast (Jan 2021) and Music from the Home front (April 2021).
Since giving birth to my two daughters and with a new little addition on the way, i’ve loved focusing on spending time with and raising my girls and creating my own little family unity. After many hours spent talking all things new mum life, creativity and the ‘art of the juggle’ with Soph, our curiosity for like-minded people grew and ‘Talking In Common’ was born.

I’m a designer and stylist by trade and an avid lover of all things beautiful and practical. My career as a creative has stretched from designing some of Melbourne’s top private and corporate parties and events to interior consulting and more recently to hands on prop and set styling, amongst many other things along the way. My job title has become multi–hyphenated over the years with the intention of creating a more flexible lifestyle to raise a family. My deep curiosity in culture and creativity has taken me far and wide in exploration and discovery of what this world has to offer. I’ve been navigating my way through interests in food, art, design, health and wellbeing and of course love, which has lead me to my best creations yet - my two babies. Having my very own family and embarking on this incredible journey of motherhood has opened my heart and mind to wanting to share and learn more. Kate and I share a vast interest in a diverse range of topics and a deep bond. So here we are, come and join us in finding out what we have in common.
